Sir Snowy\u2019s Animal Assisted Therapy Center will be designed to help people with special needs, such as children and adults with autism, or seniors with dementia, nursing home visits, Alzheimer\u2019s patients or shut-ins; Adults and Teens with drug abuse, addiction and behavioral problems. The list of special wants is endless.<\/span><\/p>\n

The treatments are based on the therapeutic properties of cats: both their physical characteristics, such as their purring, as well as the psychological effect of having a friend. Research has shown that cats create purr vibrations within a range of 20-140 Hz, known to be medically therapeutic for many illnesses and life\u2019s contrasts. Take 30 seconds close your eyes and feel the power of the purr.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Italian Ministry of Health promotes animal therapy, which is also practiced in many countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The populations that we intend to serve are:<\/span><\/p>\n

• Animal Assisted Therapy for Special Needs Adults and Children with Autism.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Animal Assisted Therapy for Adults and Children with substance abuse or addictions.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Seniors with dementia, socialization conditions, and shut in.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Our planned cafes; \u00a0Cafe Mici Amici will be an extension of the therapy centers and our Sanctuary. <\/span><\/p>\n

  At the cafe people will be able to relax and de-stress or study. Feel the healing purrs of the kitties and interact in a pleasurable and positive way while enjoying some great food or beverages. Various activities including birthday parties, anniversaries, educational activities are just some of our future plans. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  For the kitties it will be a way to find forever homes working with the various shelters kitties at the cafe will be adoptable. This eliminates the overcrowding at the shelters, kitties saved from death row.
